I am not an easy person to buy presents for. Yet when my wife recognised that my old suitcase rendered my arm down to the level of my right knee, she went ahead and ordered me a blokesbag. I was looking for a less formal bag for holidays and weekend use the one I had was very business oriented and too big for weekend use; I found your web site and found the Ashwood antiqued upright messenger bag I ordered it on the Tuesday and received it on the Thursday very speedy turnaround time!! Also well packaged.
At first I thought it might not suit my needs as it looked rather small but as I was off on holiday the next week I thought I would give it a go. Well the bag was very deceptive and more roomy than it looked managed to pack in my e-reader PDA, I-pod emergency charger, passport and travel documents without it bulking it out and there was room to spare, weight distribution was very good and I did not feel to weighed down, also as advertised the distressed look went very well with casual holiday clothing. Now I never travel for long weekends or holidays without this bag.
I have a couple of minor gripes the phone pocket is not quite wide enough for my liking and is set to high up the bag (my partner has solved that by adding a additional drop pocket inside the main compartment at the back below the rear zip pocket) also the Velcro fastener on the front flap is off set to much to the left side (again a quick fix with an additional Velcro fastener).
All in all I am very satisfied with this bag and I will be using this site again, I have already recommended it to several persons when asked where I got it from.

Yes, the bag has proved very useful, it can be difficult to find a bag that is not to much like a ladies 'handbag' or a messenger bag, that's to big and you feel the need to put all your junk in and then carry around with you, as your slogan goes "there should be only one bulge in your trousers" pockets can only carry so much!

I purchased a Troop classic shoulder bag, not big enough to cart your laptop around in (good) but enough pockets to carry almost the kitchen sink (thank god for wet wipes for the kids) my only criticism is it still looks new after 8 months of daily use - but it shows what good quality it is!

My last man-bag (Samsonite - I think) served me very well for over 10 years, the strap fell off a few years ago but more recently the zips started to fail, obviously not good news.
A search of the Internet finally got me to Blokesbags and I purchased a 'Visconti' Brown leather bag. It arrived within a couple of days which I thought was fantastic service, but alas after only a few days in use two of the zips pulled away at the stitching and rendered the bag useless. I contacted David, who was horrified when he saw the photos, and was offered a replacement or a refund straight away. Since a new bag was more use than the money I requested a replacement bag and as soon as I had returned the damaged one a new one arrived almost immediately.

Some 25 years ago I bought a small travel/handbag in France, big enough to hold passport, money, airline tickets and a chequebook in those days. A replacement was needed some 10/12 years ago, I make things last, which I purchased from John Lewis. Recently this too reached the end of it's days. I wanted an identical replacement. The only place I found one was Blokesbags. however the bag on the site was brown and I wanted black, no problem says David and good as his word a photo (Global Traveller wrist bag) comes back straight away. Once I placed the order I think David must have jumped on his motor bike to deliver it, Royal Mail just cannot deliver that quickly. When I need a new one in 12 years time Blokesbags will be my first point of call.
